Indigenous Outpatient Addiction Counselling and Detox Support

Provides a quality service that helps Indigenous people achieve a healthier and satisfying life free from alcohol and drug use.
The program aims to reduce substance misuse and related legal issues while supporting improvements in health, cognitive and social functioning, self-esteem, and coping skills. In addition, the program seeks to increase occupational and educational opportunities for participants.
The alcohol and drug team can assist you in the following ways:
- Address substance use and misuse issues
- Provide one-to-one adult, youth, family and group counselling
- Provide crisis intervention counselling
- Make referrals to detox centres, rehabilitation, and residential treatment centres
- Make referrals to education institutions, pre-employment and life skills training programs
- Provide follow-up and after-care treatment
- Networking with other agencies
Participants may access the program by walking in or calling to set up an appointment. Referrals from other agencies are also accepted.
