Caregiver Support, Family / Parenting, Mental Health - Child & Youth, Services for Children, and Services for Youth

Provides services to help families and foster families build better relationships.
The following programs are offered:
Family Counselling Service: Milieu provides counselling services to youth aged 12 to 18 and their families in Vancouver. Counsellors hold either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have extensive experience supporting families and youth through a trauma-informed approach. A referral from an MCFD social worker or probation officer is required. Services are offered in family homes, community settings, or private counselling rooms at the South Vancouver Youth Centre.

The Foster Family Team: Provides direct intensive support services to Foster parents and Out Of Care caregivers for difficult-to-serve children and youth in long-term foster homes. The program recognizes that these children/youth benefit from the stability and continuity of long-term, family care, and that their needs and those of the caregiver are complex and interactive.
