Counselling and emotional outreach services for Delta residents aged 55+.
Deltassist is the only organization in Delta with staff solely dedicated to working with seniors about their immediate needs and issues. They offer counselling for Delta residents 55+, with concerns that are impeding their ability to live a healthy lifestyle. Outreach can be provided to seniors in their home communities and their homes as appropriate, and with family as applicable.
The following support can be provided to improve quality of life, including physical, social, and emotional well-being:
- Short term counselling
- Emotional support
- Global assessments of current functioning
- Education
- Facilitation of referrals
The Seniors counselling program does not provide the following, but can assist in referrals for:
- Mental Health Assessments
- Trauma Counselling
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
- Dementia Assessments
- Long Term Counselling
- Personal Care or Home Care
- Medication Management
- Better at Home
