Stress and Anger Management Workshops for Adults
Mental Health - Adult & Senior
Provided by Deltassist
In this group, participants will learn what self esteem is and how abuse impacts self esteem. They will learn about self assessment tools and about healthier thinking patterns using acceptance paradox. They will identify their own strengths and use these to enhance their self esteem.
Participants will have a deeper understanding for building boundaries, understanding assertiveness, and developing a healthier self worth. Sometimes being a people pleaser seems easier than being assertive. Participants will recognize that they are worth way more than that and create an ability to say ‘no’ when they want to. Participants will learn a healthy style of conducting interpersonal relationships where they don’t have to give up on their own needs and still have respect for others’ needs.
This is a 6 week group for self-identified women who have experienced any kind of relationship abuse. Participants explore how trauma and abuse as well as social context can impact our experiences of anger. We will also practice emotional regulation, CBT, and DBT skills for working with anger.
This is a 12-week program for anyone who has difficulty managing their anger, and would like to learn healthy ways of coping and communicating. Individuals learn to deal with stress, develop empathy and respond instead of react. The program also offers prevention and intervention to perpetrators of violence prior to a charge, conviction or sentencing through the criminal justice process or other. A certification of completion will be provided upon completion.
