Adult Programs - East Vancouver

Provides opportunities and support for people in the East Vancouver community for employment, housing and food security.
The following services are offered:
  • Employment Support Services: Provides employment support services to individuals who are unemployed or under-employed who work less than 20 hours per week and you live, work or play in East Vancouver.
  • Community Leadership Training: A community project to help create a more welcoming and inclusive community.
  • English Conversation Circle: Connect with others in the community who want to improve their English speaking skills online via Zoom. Please email community@kiwassa.ca to receive the link.
  • Neighbourhood Small Grants: Neighbourhood Small Grants is Vancouver Foundation’s unique program to help build community and strengthen connections right where people live. Have a great idea for your community? Find out more and apply for a small grant
  • CHIMO: Chimo provides positive and enriching experiences that strengthen tenant engagement and connect residents with resources in the broader community. Programs include fun workshops, out-trips to exciting destinations, a regular weekly coffee time drop-in, potlucks and picnics.
  • North Hastings Community Learning and Literacy: Strives to promote and enhance the quality and effectiveness of literacy and learning programs in the Northeast Vancouver community.
