Preteen and Youth Services

Provides a central hub of support services and ongoing programs for local residents living in northeast Vancouver.
Frog Hollow empowers local residents in Hastings-Sunrise to improve the community together by providing ongoing programs and services, and by supporting various community initiatives. Full Circle Preteen & Youth Services are designed to involve a young person throughout their development from their preteen to adolescence. Preteens can start participating in weekly after school programs at 10 years old, or be part of our Grade 7s transition preparation. Throughout high school, they can access a range of skills development programs and leadership opportunities to eventually become a youth leader in the community. Even in post-secondary, youth can continue their participation in various leadership capacities. Services offered include the following:
  • Preteen Program for those 10 - 14 years old, working to engage students in a social environment by offering fun and supportive activities to gain life skills, social skills and self respect. Contact Ashleigh at 236-888-8377 or by email
  • Youth Settlement Program offers newcomer youth aged 10-18 a safe place to learn about Canadian culture and their community while forming multicultural friendships and practicing their English. Contact Shawna at 604-561-9118 or by email
  • Building A Safer Environment (BASE) addresses bullying, harassment and discrimination in high school for those aged 14-18 through mentoring, workshops and events throughout the school year. Contact Gurjot at 672-335-3381 or by email
  • Make It! is a therapeutic based program for youth aged 15-30 who may need support with employment, identify as living with a disability (including mental health challenges). Contact Robin at 604-889-8463 or by email
  • Frames Film Program utilizes film as a medium to provide training, support and voice to Indigenous youth and their peers aged 16-30 years overcoming barriers. Contact Amanda at 250-878-2405 or by email
  • Drive Youth Employment Services (DYES) supports youth aged 16-30 years through 1:1 case management, resource room services, professional counselling, referrals to community programs, and more

Hours of Operation are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with certain programs open on the weekends
