Provides opioid agonist treatment and related services.
Provides treatment using medications like buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) methadone and Oral Morphine (SROM)/Kadian in a supervised clinical setting, along with connections to other health care services and community supports. Fraser Health’s Opioid Agonist Treatment services provide longitudinal, comprehensive care and facilitate connections to other health care services and community supports (e.g. Primary Care, counselling etc.).
The treatment is offered to people who have opioid use disorder, a medical condition characterized by a problematic pattern of opioid use (e.g. addiction to pain killers such as Percocet, OxyContin, heroin).
To be eligible for OAT services, it is recommended that clients attend a RAAC service for assessment and stabilization. RAAC programs will refer to OAT services for ongoing care. Appointments can also be made by calling clinics directly.
