Early Psychosis Intervention Program - For young adults experiencing a first psychotic episode - Kamloops

If you are experiencing your first episode of psychosis, our Early Psychosis Intervention program can help.
If you have trouble coping, it can show in different ways. Anxiety, depression, or stress can be signs of struggle. It could also be psychosis. If you are living with psychosis, our Early Psychosis Intervention program provides support to you and your family.

Interior Health provides a range of mental health services for youth. The program bridges from hospital to community and from youth to adult services. The goal is to promote wellness, reduce social isolation and to try and restore previous levels of functioning. We strive to ensure our services are welcoming of all peoples, gender identities, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds..

Services may include: Bridging youth and adult mental health services; care coordination & referrals; linking community services with hospital; community education, plus the following treatment, support & recovery services:
  • Screening & assessments
  • Medication: review & monitoring
  • Counselling: treatment & recovery plans
  • Crisis intervention
  • Life skills education & support
  • Self-management support
  • Relapse prevention
