Connect Parent Program - For parents of children dealing with attachment issues

Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health

Evidence based, 10 week group for caregivers that focuses on strengthening the caregiver – child relationship. Based in Attachment Theory, this group helps parents learn new ways to understand and respond to their children’s emotional and behavioral challenges. The program promotes social, emotional, and behavioral adjustment and attachment security in families, a critical foundation for overall wellbeing.

The program is offered both virtually and in person, and runs 3-4 times a year.

Eligibility: For caregivers who have children between 9-18 years old. Open to anyone living in BC. Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health, Child and Youth Mental Health and in collaboration with the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre. A referral is required.

The Family and Community Enhancement Services office is located on the third floor. Office hours are Monday: 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Tuesday - Thursday 9:00AM to 6:00PM.
