Mental Health + Diabetes Training Program

The Mental Health + Diabetes Training Program will provide knowledge and tools to help registered providers deliver the best support to their patients with diabetes. Patients and students are also welcome to take the program.
This training program aims to address the knowledge gap in diabetes education in Canada, by providing the education and tools. This training may be of interest to healthcare providers, students pursuing careers in mental health, and those in the diabetes community wanting to learn more about diabetes and mental health.

This is a free virtual training program about diabetes specifically designed for mental health providers, students and patients, that involves 6 self-guided modules and a live interactive session totalling 10 hours of learning.

This program was developed by a Steering Committee made up of diabetes and mental health experts from across Canada and people with lived experience of diabetes.
