Dragonstone - Low Cost Counselling

Offers individual, relationship and family counselling for clients of all ages and genders in Vancouver
Common counselling issues addressed include life & transitions, family & relationships, gender-orientations-sexuality, trauma, physical health, and emotional well-being.

Dragonstone also offers telephone and Skype counselling for people who are not able to physically access the centre, either due to long-distance or because the facility is not accessible for individuals with mobility aids.

No referral necessary

Cost: Options for sliding scale fees low-cost counselling with supervised interns. Sliding scale cost breakdown:
  • Tier 1: $60-80: For folks who cannot afford to access counselling at industry standard rates (set at approximately $120-160 per hour by most professional associations).
  • Tier 2: $35-59: For folks who are underemployed or living paycheque to paycheque for whom Tier 1 costs make accessing counselling unfeasible. Some costs of your counselling are subsidized by those who can pay at a higher tier or by volunteer work.
  • Tier 3: $34 and lower: For folks who are struggling with significant financial hardship, we offer sessions below minimum operating cost, subsidized by those who can pay at higher tier levels and by the generous volunteer contributions of our counsellors, staff and supervisors.
