Mental Health Services - For People with IBD

Mental health assessments and referral to the counselling program for patients with known or suspected inflammatory bowel disease.
Mental health services are offered to patients of The IBD Centre of BC who are having trouble with mood, anxiety, stress, illness management, or other mental health concern. The gastroenterologist can make a referral to The IBD Centre of BC for a mental health assessment. Based on an initial consultation, the mental health team will suggest the best level of treatment. They offer group and individual therapy, as well as self-help and educational resources.
