Colts Young Parent Program - Richmond Secondary School

The Colt program is a parent program for Richmond students.
Located in Richmond Secondary School, the Colt Young Parent Program supports pregnant and parenting youth (fathers and mothers), ages 13 to 26. Participants receive academic support from a teacher, who will create an individualized, self-paced high school graduation or upgrading program. The students also receive support from the Family Support Worker. The support worker can help in many areas, such as immigration, housing, referrals for counselling, applying for government assistance, and connecting the students to other professionals. Fully subsidized, onsite licensed childcare is provided to participants. The Colt Young Program is supported by a partnership with Family Services of Greater Vancouver and the Richmond School District.
