Activity Centre for Empowerment (ACE)

A centre offering various programs for adults with mental health and/or substance use concerns in Prince George.
The Activity Centre for Empowerment (ACE) is a program provided by the BC Schizophrenia Society of Prince George (BCSSPG). It is a welcoming community space in downtown Prince George that offers support and various activities for adults living with mental health and/or substance use concerns.

ACE serves people with a range of mental illnesses, addictions, brain injuries, and developmental delays, not just schizophrenia. It provides social activities, meals, laundry services, computer access and support to help clients manage daily life and combat social isolation. They also offer a Volunteer Job Training Program for those who need to acquire job skills and a reference.

ACE memberships are $5 annually and used directly to benefit members by funding activities. It is valid from Apr 1st to March 31st of the following year. Eligibility requirements include:
  • Must be an individual living with a mental illness and/or addiction in the Prince George area.
  • All members must be 18 years or older.
Must be referred by a health care service provider (doctor, nurse practitioner, counsellor or social worker) supported by Northern Health Mental Health & Addictions Services.
