Virtual support groups for patients with Mesothelioma and their loved ones.
The support groups were designed to support the emotional health of patients living with mesothelioma, as well as the people who care for them. Currently, CMF offers a number of private, invite-only Facebook groups for mesothelioma patients, loved ones and bereaved to connect with one another, share experiences and seek support from others in similar situations. To join one of our online groups, please follow these steps:
  • Open a Facebook account if you don't already have one. "Like" the CMF Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CMFonline
  • Send a private message to the CMF Facebook page or to info@cmfonline.org specifying the group you would like to join (patient or caregiver).
  • Once you receive your invitation from the CMF, click on the link provided to preview the group. Accept the invitation to gain immediate access and membership to the group. We hope to hear from you soon!


The CMF has also launched new facilitated discussion groups for mesothelioma patients and caregivers. These discussions groups provide a supportive way for adults affected by mesothelioma to connect with peers and to discuss resources associated with mesothelioma, navigating the health care system, and self care strategies. The groups will also offer support and information through themed discussions, guest speakers, and topics selected by group members. The discussion groups are offered over Zoom and facilitated by a social worker who will be focused on creating a safe space for peer connections and education.

Because confidentiality and privacy are taken seriously, Zoom invitations for discussion groups will only be sent to registrants. Please register by emailing skirouac@cmfonline.org and include your connection to the disease and the discussion group you would like to join (patient or caregiver).
