Parents as Teachers - A Parent Support Program

An early childhood parent education and support program.
Parents As Teachers is an early childhood parent education and family support program designed to empower parents to give their children the best possible start in life. The parents as teachers program provides parents with:
  • timely information on child development, prenatal to age three
  • parent-child activities that encourage language development, intellectual growth, social development, and motor skills
  • tools for strengthening parent-child relationships


This program includes a few key components such as:
  • monthly home visits
  • the buddy program
  • health and developmental screening
  • appropriate referrals and connection to other community resources


The PAT Program is FREE for parents with children from prenatal to three years old who reside in the Midtown and South Vancouver Area.
