Professional Grief Counselling

Provided by Living Through Loss Counselling Society of BC

Offers professional grief counselling and emotional support to anyone who is experiencing stress due to life change or loss.
Provides professional individual and group counselling to adults, children and adolescents experiencing loss or life changes such as chronic illness. Their staff consists of Registered Clinical Counsellors and Registered Social Workers who are certified grief counsellors with a wide range of experience in helping others. The model used by the agency is Reality Therapy, which is proven effective to assist in regaining control while you deal with traumatic life changes.

Living Through Loss Counselling offers counselling by appointment only. The majority of their individual counselling is done in person, but they also offer counselling by telephone and email. Group therapy is also offered.

Referral: Appointments by self-referral, by professional, and by anyone who would like to receive grief and loss counselling.

Cost: A limited fund from the BC Gaming Community Grant program offers 4-6 sessions at a significantly reduced fee to those who are on some form of income assistance and otherwise would not be able to access professional counselling.
