Family / Parenting, Pregnancy Care, Services for Children, and Social / Recreational

Support the development of happy, healthy, families through drop-ins, parent education workshops, support services, and other family centered programs.

Family Support:
The Family Support Worker is available to provide one-on-one support and referrals to parents of children aged 0-18 years who are facing life challenges. Staff can help you apply for childcare subsidy, subsidized housing, leisure access pass, and income assistance as well as other services. Free with $10 LMNHS membership.

Moving Mondays:
Offers a power walk through the neighbourhood, engage in wall exercises, chair workouts, movements and stretches for Women and men with children on Mondays 1:00–2:00 PM. Free (LMNHS family membership required).

One-on-Ones:
For families with children aged 0–18 years old in need of assistance with child care, child care subsidy, parenting support or income assistance, leisure access passes for your family. Free (LMNHS family membership required).

Moms Group:
This program provides a welcoming space for mothers to connect with one another, share experiences, and build supportive relationships. Participants meet every other Wednesday, 10:30 AM–12:00 PM to enjoy coffee or tea, light snacks, and conversation in a relaxed environment. The group is designed to foster community, reduce isolation, and offer peer support for moms seeking like-minded connections. Free (LMNHS family membership required).

Women's Sharing Circle:
This program offers a supportive circle for women every Friday, 1:00–2:30 PM, to come together to share stories, wisdom, laughter, tears, and lived experiences. The group is open to all women and provides a space for listening, sharing, and addressing real-world challenges. Participants can enjoy meaningful conversations, meet other women (including new moms), and connect over coffee, tea, and light snacks. Free (LMNHS family membership required).

Family Drop-In's:
This program provides the opportunity for parents/caregivers and their young children (0 to 5 yrs old) to meet new friends, play, and sing together indoors. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 AM–12:00 PM. Suggested $4 donation per family (LMNHS family membership required).
