Youth Central Addiction Intake Team (CAIT) - Vancouver CYMH and Substance Use Services

Coordinates admissions into VCH contracted residential substance use beds, ensuring that clients are being matched to the most appropriate treatment facility that can meet their individual needs.
The Youth Central Addiction Intake Team (CAIT) is a free youth substance use service which is designed to meet the needs of youth struggling with substance use. CAIT provides support in connecting youth to prevention services, counselling, withdrawal management options, treatment options, as well as the services of an intensive case management team.​

CAIT also coordinates referrals into youth VCH contracted residential substance use beds, ensuring that clients are being matched to the most appropriate treatment facilities and services to meet their individual needs. The CAIT referral package for Peak House, Young Bears Lodge and the VCH Day Treatment Program can be found on the website.

CAIT can be contacted with questions regarding services or to learn about options for youth struggling with substance use. Clients can self-refer.
