Services for Families (Referred by MCFD)

Provided by Deltassist

Family and child counselling, parenting education programs, and supervised visitation who have been referred to Deltassist by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
The following services are available:

Healthy Families Program
Provides quick response for assessment, support, education and in-home or in-community treatment for families with children under the age of 19. This program assists the family by assisting families to gain skills and coping strategies, assisting families to find resources and teach families how to utilize the services to meet their needs to care for their children, and helps to establish a healthy, positive and consistent relationship between families and their child(ren).

Outreach Family Counselling
Deltassist Outreach Family counselling provides support for parents who lack the support they need to cope effectively. This program assists with building skills and connecting with resources and the community.

Family Development
Deltassist helps families in developing positive parenting by working on skills such as communication, conflict resolution and effective decision-making.

Supervised Visitation
Deltassist provides supervision that will ensure the safety and well-being of children during visits with family members.
