A support group for or persons with HIV/AIDS, or persons affected (family, friends or care givers) by the disease.
The support group provides an opportunity for peer socialization along with professional support, news, information and workshops. The group is open to all individuals living with HIV/AIDS and to those who love and care for them.
Support groups include the following services:
Outreach Support: Housing, transportation, case management, grocery assistance, practical needs, home and hospital visits.
Program Activities: Social outings: BBQ, coffee dates, monthly brunches or dinners, take-out dinners, movies, bowling.
Women’s Support Group: A women’s-only support group titled WSG. This provides a safe and supportive environment for women living with HIV and their caregivers to communicate without gendered judgment. WSG meetings are held regularly at the office in Richmond. The support group occurs twice a month on Mondays, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
