Free programs and services for women and families with lived experience of addiction and trauma.
Avalon Women’s Centres offer peer support, meeting spaces for women in recovery, free childminding, drop-in hours, a resource library, wellness programming, and a clothing closet. Avalon Women’s Centres are for anyone who identifies as a woman, trans-inclusive, 2SLLGBTQ++ affirming.
Avalon hosts a variety of support group meetings, both in person and online with zoom. Some meeting topics include:
- Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
- Al Anon
- Adult Children of Alcoholics/Dysfunctional Families (ACA)
- Co-Dependents Anonymous (CODA)
- Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
- Sex and Love Addiction Anonymous (SLAA)
Workshops include:
- Stress Management (Physical Wellbeing)
- Mindfulness and Healing (Spiritual Wellbeing)
- Boundaries and Acceptance (Emotional Wellbeing)
