Health and Wellness Grant Initiative - Nisga'a Ts'amiks Vancouver

Provides Nisga'a Ts'amiks members an opportunity to apply for funding to participate in sport, recreational & wellness activities.
Each fiscal year (April 1 to March 31), Nisga'a citizens whose ordinary residence is within Nisga'a Ts'amiks Vancouver Society treaty boundary is eligible for a one-time subsidy up to $75.00. The goal is to engage Nisga'a Ts'amiks citizens in health and wellness activities.
This program operates on a reimbursement basis. This means that citizens are required to provide receipt of payment with the application grant. Please ensure the entire receipt is sent on screenshots. Receipt date needs to be on the receipt.
Applicants are only permitted to apply for themselves and their dependents (one-time per year)

Reimbusements Accepted:
  • Sports and recreational enrollment fees.
  • Sport or recreational gear: runners cleats sports uniforms, etc.
  • Winter wear (Applicable to Elders aged 55+ and children under 5)
  • Spiritual, physical, mental wellness fees not covered under non-insured benefits of the Nation.

Reimbursement Not Accepted:
  • Wellness fees covered under non-insured benefits: massage or physiotherapy
  • Vitamins or supplements
  • Prescriptions
  • Active wear clothing and accessories (Shorts, leggings, socks, etc.)
  • Activity outlines
