Smoking Cessation Clinic, Lung Health - Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre

The Smoking Cessation Clinic is a FREE group program that helps you become smoke-free with education, behavioral support and counselling.
Trained tobacco cessation educators and Mental Health counsellors will empower people who are driven to take control of their health and stop smoking. We recognize that each person has different needs, motivators and preferences. Individual assessments help make custom quit goals, treatment plans and strategies. The program runs over a period of 12-weeks including group sessions and phone follow ups. The program will be held virtually via Zoom on Wednesdays at 4:30 – 5:30pm.


Education topics: Treating nicotine addiction (quit-aids and behavioral support); Develop a personal goal and quit smoking strategy; Quitting smoking without gaining weight; Sleep adjustments when quitting smoking; Relationship between alcohol, COPD, heart disease and smoking; Benefits of physical activity; Stress management and mental health; Prevent “slips” and relapse during quitting journey.
