Advocacy and Condition Specific Support

Provides support, information, advocacy, and education to families and individuals living with epilepsy, and to anyone else affected by epilepsy.
The following services are offered:
  • A package of resource material for parents and a comfort toy to accompany children during stressful medical appointments visits are available for newly diagnosed patients.
  • Epilepsy Connect Support Group: Click here to register.
  • HOBSCOTCH: A self-management program designed to help people with epilepsy find ways to manage and cope with their memory and thinking challenges to lead happier, more productive lives.
  • Mandala art: A therapeutic practice that promotes relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional expression. For individuals living with epilepsy, this creative outlet can offer significant mental and emotional support. It provides a calming experience while allowing the freedom to explore one’s emotions, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of connection and peace.
  • One-on-one Support: Provides personalized support in the office, via telephone, or video chat – tailored to you and your family’s needs. Click here to book an appointment.
  • Case assessment and referral to other community agencies
  • Education and awareness resources
  • Opportunities for children with epilepsy to attend summer camp
  • Offers post-secondary bursary program to students with epilepsy or affected through a family member or friend
  • Epilepsy Community Hubs: This program creates dedicated virtual spaces on our Facebook platform, providing a supportive environment where people can connect, share experiences, and access valuable resources.
