A breastfeeding support group offering mother-to-mother, parent-to-parent, and peer support for pregnant individuals, new parents, and those further along in their parenting journey.
La Leche League offers support in person, virtually, and through informal group meetings led by volunteer leaders.
La Leche League Canada’s Breastfeeding Essentials class will help you prepare for the arrival of your baby and your breastfeeding journey. You will learn about:
- Preparing to breastfeed
- Basics of positioning and latching
- Establishing your milk production
- How to know your baby is getting enough milk
- How and where to get support
Before the class, clients will receive an email with more details, including the meeting location (for in-person meetings), the Google Meet link (for virtual meetings), and the leader's contact information. This class is free for all pregnant individuals, as well as their support persons.
