Supports African immigrants in Canada by facilitating access to services, information, and employment opportunities that promote successful integration into Canadian society.
The Centre of Integration for African Immigrants (CIAI) offers a range of services designed to support African immigrants in BC, focusing on settlement, integration, and career development.

Services offered include:
  • Settlement and Integration Support: Services include counselling, case management, and assistance with the transition into Canadian society. This support can involve access to translation, interpretation, language training, and computer skills development to help immigrants assimilate and reduce dependence on government assistance.
  • Employment & Job Search: Provides employment resources, job training programs, resume support, and interview preparation to help newcomers secure meaningful work. Career counselling, mentorship, and skills assessments are part of these offerings.
  • Youth Program: Dedicated activities and resources to help young immigrants integrate into Canadian life and develop essential skills.
  • Seniors Program: Social support and wellness activities enable African immigrant seniors to remain active and connected within their community.
  • Anti-Racism Initiatives: CIAI promotes inclusive communities and works to address discrimination through campaigns and support programs.
