Education, Employment, and Immigrant and Refugee Services

Provided by La Federation des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique (FFCB)

Provides settlement, integration, and employment services to holders of a Canadian immigration status and to naturalized citizens of Canada.
The program serves refugee claimants, temporary foreign workers, post-secondary international students, provincial nominees who are not yet permanent residents, and recently naturalized citizens who continue to be dependent on settlement support.

Immigration and settlement services include orientation, information, and referral to community services, assistance navigating immigration and work permit applications, and short-term crisis/mental health counselling.

Labour market services include job market information, connection to job opportunities, employment counselling, short-term pre-employment essential skills courses, help to access WorkBC and other employment training and bridging programs, assistance with workplace safety or employment standards violations, and education on workplace rights and responsibilities, work safety, and workplace culture. Language services include English conversation groups
