Callanish Cancer Support Groups and Retreats

Provided by Callanish Society

Callanish creates a healing space for people who have been irrevocably changed by cancer.
Programs include:
  • Family Support Circle: A group for parents/caregivers and their children (ages 4 to 16) to share and learn from each other about the challenges of living with cancer in a family, and the parenting issues that can often arise.
  • Supporter Circle: This group is for those who are the primary support person for individuals living with cancer. The circle is a safe space to share what it means to be in this challenging role with others who are also caring for loved ones with cancer. Please contact us to register
  • Grief Circle: For those who would like to sit in a safe, sacred space to share memories, stories, feelings, and thoughts about a loved one who has died and the experience of mourning. By donation. Please contact us to register
  • Meditation & Council: For those who feel drawn to some quiet time for reflection. Friends and family are welcome. Drop-in, by donation
  • Callanish Writes: Exploring life through the written word within a supportive community. No writing experience is required.
  • Younger Adult Support Circle: Conversation and camaraderie for younger adults living with cancer (19-40ish years old). Drop-in, by donation
  • Creative Arts Circle: An invitation into the art studio for some gentle exploration of your creative side. No previous creative arts experience is necessary.
  • Victoria, BC, Circle: This support group is for those who have or have had cancer in the Victoria area and wish to connect with others living in similar circumstances.
  • Supporter Circle In-Person: This group is for those who are the primary support person for individuals living with cancer. The circle is a safe space to share what it means to be in this challenging role with others who are also caring for loved ones with cancer.
