Bright Spot - Older Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Program

A weekly social and activity program for seniors age 65 and over who have mental health and wellness concerns.
Bright Spot is a psychosocial day program, as well as individual occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation services for older adults ages 65 and up who have a mental illness and personal, social, and/or leisure needs. Also offers peer support, as well as health and wellness, and leisure groups.

  • Support and connection
  • Health and wellness education
  • A social and nutritious lunch
  • Various recreational/social activities
  • Support to connect with community resources
  • Individualized assessment and treatment of function
  • One to one peer support services

Bright Spot offers small group sizes up to 15 people and is offered in a comfortable home-like setting. The program is run by specialized mental health staff. There is no cost to attending the program and transportation is arranged for participants.

Eligibility: Adults aged 65 and over, living in Vancouver, who have a primary diagnosis of depression, anxiety, dementia or other major mental health diagnoses.
