Travel for concession fares in the TransLink area for individuals with a permanent physical and/or cognitive disability.
HandyCard is a photo-identity card for customers who cannot use the conventional system without assistance. Cardholders are entitled to Concession fares and their attendant travels for free when traveling on buses, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express.
HandyCard holders are also eligible to purchase and use
TaxiSavers, which are half-priced coupons for use as payment with participating taxi companies.
Eligibility: Individuals with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities who are unable to use conventional public transit without assistance may be eligible to use HandyDART.
To sign up individuals will need to complete and sign the application form. A section of the forms will need to be completed by a family doctor (or a senior official in a recognized social service or health agency) to complete the application and be accepted. Mail the completed application to the Access Transit Customer Care Office, along with two recent photographs as specified in the application form. Or submit by email to the address below.
